You have now entered my world where the limit does not exist.

If you decide to work with me, here’s your one and only warning:
I do not hold back with my editing whip, and I take great pride in giving only completely transparent feedback.
I refuse to wear a gag and bound myself if I know your work could be pushed further to perfection.
It’s all worth the spankings in the end, I promise you.
If this sounds like the editing experience you’d like to partake in, then bend over and let’s do this.
I'd be thrilled to work with your brilliant writer’s mind and share in this journey with you by
choking your words… into masterpieces.

XOXO Kenzie

CONTENT/DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING
As an editor, this is my favorite task.
I take immense pleasure in focusing on the deeper, more
substantial aspects of storytelling.
This kind of editing allows me to spread my creative wings by
collaborating with writers on the developmental level.
Content editing helps to ensure that your work is as strong as it can possibly be.
Even the most talented and experienced writers can benefit from the objective
insight that comes with content editing.
It’s nearly impossible for any writer to view their own work
exactly as their readers will. This is especially why feedback is necessary;
to make sure that every element you’ve structured into your
manuscript makes every bit of sense to your reader as much as it does to you.
Examples of what I look for while content editing:

Plot structure, holes, development, and organization
Characterization and character arcs
Use of side characters
Unresolved threads and scene placement
Content relevancy
Ambiguous scenes
Use and placement of conflict, tension, and pacing
Plausibility, concepts, fact-checking, world-building
Use, structure, and placement of dialogue
Mystery satisfaction
Unnecessary passages
Build up of tension
Steam and romance fulfillment
Overall writing style and consistency
And much more…
My primary goal with this process is to be a supporter for
you and an advocate for your readers. I am passionate about the work I take
on and always give it my complete attention. I will be 100% honest with
my feedback, and I refuse to hold back if I believe something can be changed
for the betterment of your work.

Content editing will typically begin when you finish your final draft.
With that said, I am always open to starting this process
beforehand if you would like some feedback to help you in
fulfilling your vision before its completion.
Once you review my recommendations, I'm available to
communicate more thoroughly about them if you have questions or need
some assistance. This is guaranteed to be a lengthy process, but it is well
worth it for both you and your readers.

LINE & COPY EDITING
Line and copy editing are close seconds to content editing for me in the fun department.
This is where I spank those sentences into perfection.
Copy editing encompasses mechanics like spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
This process aims to produce the most readable manuscript
by correcting outright mistakes and inconsistencies.
Line editing is a particular type of copy editing that focuses mostly on style.
This process takes much longer, as it has to do with the more
interpretive aspects of your story that could use a bit of finessing.

Examples of what I look for while copy and line editing:
Subject/verb agreement
Spelling and proper word usage
Pronoun reference/agreement
Parallel structure
Compound sentence commas
Introductory commas
Fragments
Run-on sentences
Plurals and possessives
Punctuation usage
Awkward phrasing
Word choices and overuse
Plot, character, scene, and detail consistency (red or silver car,
mom’s name, color of room, etc.)
Showing vs. Telling (body language during an
argument, how the street looks and how the weather feels on the way
home, where certain body parts are located during a steamy scene and what character
is thinking about and physically experiencing in that moment, etc.).
And much more...
Line and copy editing will begin when you finish your final draft and will
always take place after content editing.

PROOFREADING
Proofreading is the most straightforward aspect of editing.
It’s all about finding errors, both big and small, that were either missed or
introduced during the editing process. Even though it’s a less extensive task, it’s
still an important step in preparing a piece of creative work to be read by others.
By the time a manuscript is ready to be proofread, we're working with the final draft.
This means that the content within should already be well-written and easy to follow.
Line, copy, and developmental editing also involve removing errors, but they focus
more on making sure the story makes sense as a whole.
What I look for while proofreading:

Typographical errors
Minor spelling and punctuation mistakes
Page number and layout problems
Proofreading will begin once all other editing has been completed.
This is the last task I'll complete before it's ready for your review.
