The journey of Nice Girl, Naughty Edits began in the spring of 2020 during a global pandemic that changed everything.

​

As work slowed down, there was more time than ever before to dive into all the things I normally wouldn't prioritize. 

The allure of dark romance took over as my newfound passion, as I spent my days devouring one story after another. After reading more in a matter of months than I had in years, I still felt like I couldn't get enough.

​

I explored other romance genres from there; erotic to fantasy, paranormal to contemporary, rom-com to suspense, and so many more. Each uniquely built world and complex character had me feeling just as passionate, opening my eyes to the world of romance as a whole. I went from obsessing over lust-filled enemies-to-lovers, starring disgustingly sexy and morally gray main characters, whose stories allowed me an escape from reality, to swooning for charming friends-to-lovers, with main characters, who not only made me laugh, but who I also found myself relating to deep in my soul. I loved it all and everything in between, and I still do (just look at my portfolio haha). And it didn't stop there.​

I experienced the true magic that lies behind the curtain of storytelling when my first client officially pulled me into this world of editing. The freedom and power I felt from being able to mix my love of romance with my love for grammar was intoxicating. It led me to the discovery of what I really want to do with my life and was truly a point of no return.​

​

Proofreading, line editing, and scrutinizing content for that client gave me the push I needed to not only go forth in pursuing the education I needed to hone my craft, but to turn my passion into a business.

I knew for certain this was more than just a fleeting hobby; it was my dream, and it was here to stay.
